Time Filler

Great DJ? Check. Open bar? Check. Sounds like you’re on your way to planning a good time! But chances are, everyone isn’t going to dance for the entire reception. And we all know what happens when someone spends a little too much time at the bar. What else is a guest to do? A photo booth adds variety and makes for a great activity for guests bouncing between the dance floor and the bar. Taking a break after the Cupid Shuffle for a quick photo shoot is sure to entertain!

Great Party Favors

We’ve all been to weddings where the thank you gift has been a shot glass, a bag of M&M’s, or something else that soon gets tossed or forgotten about. Thank your guests for coming in a much less cliché way by sending them home with a personalized photograph or two that serves as a constant reminder of how much fun they had at your wedding. Don’t be surprised to see that photo hanging on their fridge when you stop by to visit, even months later! Prints from a photo booth are customizable, and can include your names, wedding date, and can even match your colors and theme, making them the perfect keepsake.

Instant Social Media

A photo booth can offer the option to quickly access your photos digitally, whether through a private gallery or a Facebook album, making it easy to share your big day on social media. Wedding hashtags and bridal party selfies are increasingly popular these days, so this feature is sure to up your insta-game! A photo booth that allows your guests to text or email the photo to themselves means that it’s up to them what hashtag to use to show how much fun they’re having at your event.

Fun Factor

It seems like an obvious thing to state when hiring entertainment – all of it is fun! – but a photo booth will give you more ‘bang for your buck’ than many other forms of entertainment through the sheer amount of fun and laughter you’ll hear coming from the booth over the course of your wedding evening. It’s not a singular activity and people tend to visit the booth in large groups for a photo. Upon seeing the props available for their snap, even the most camera-shy love to get involved as you take your four photos. And that fun and laughter we mentioned? It keeps other people at your wedding interested in the booth as well.

Your Photographer Can’t Photograph Everyone

Being an event photographer, I can say that your photographer simply can’t photograph everybody in attendance. Some don’t like to be photographed for whatever reason whilst others might just keep missing the photographer as they come around. With a photo booth though, you can rest assured that you’ll have at least one snap of your guests to enjoy. Sure, they’ll probably be sporting ridiculous fluorescent glasses or have a random bowling pin in their hand, but at least you’ll have a photo!

Many photo booths offer to print two 2”x6” strip photos for each guest. That means one of them can be held on to by your guests, while the second one can go into a guestbook where your guests can paste the photo and write you a message. You most likely will want a guest book at your event, so put a twist on the traditional guest books and make it one that you will want to look at again and again.
